Why the Poshmark listing AI fills in the details buyers filter by

Poshmark shoppers narrow by category and size before they read a single title. A listing that leaves those half filled never makes their results at all.

One example, a used denim jacket. Every value here is one the Poshmark form accepts, because each was picked from the list Poshmark itself uses.

The category comes first

The item is placed in Poshmark's own department and category tree before a word is written, picked from the real list, so it never lands in a bucket Poshmark does not have.

A size the form will accept

Each category carries its own size chart, alpha for tops, numeric for jeans, the US scale for shoes, and the size is taken from that chart word for word.

Condition is a toggle, not an essay

New with tags is switched on only when your photos show tags. Wear goes into the description instead, flaw by flaw, where buyers expect it.

Two kinds of tags, both filled

Style tags go to Poshmark's own field, all 3 slots. Hashtags are written into the end of the description, the only place Poshmark reads them.

Every field the Poshmark listing AI fills in

A Poshmark listing is mostly structured choices rather than prose. Here is what comes back already filled in, in the order the form asks for it.

Title
Up to 80 characters, led by brand and item name, then the size, colour and style words buyers search.
Description
Scannable plain text: measurements, fabric, condition flaw by flaw, a styling line, hashtags at the end.
Category
Department and category picked from Poshmark's own tree, which decides your size chart and filters.
Size
Taken from your category's own chart, so what you paste is a value the size dropdown actually offers.
Color
The most prominent first, capped at the two slots Poshmark gives you, for buyers filtering by colour.
New with tags
Switched on only when the photos show tags or sealed packaging. Anything else is described honestly.
Style tags
All 3 slots filled with silhouette, material or aesthetic words, distinct from your hashtags.
Suggested price
A starting range in whole dollars, the only kind the price field takes, plus the original price when known.
Photos
Up to 12 at once, read in one pass, so the care label can inform the title and the close ups the flaws.

These are Poshmark's own fields, not a relabeled template. Nothing claims authenticity the photos cannot prove, or invents a smoke free home.

The Poshmark listing AI cleans up your covershot too

Poshmark shows your first photo as a square tile in a feed of others, and that tile is most of what decides whether yours gets tapped.

Your photo
Cleaned up
  • Background removed

Swap the bedroom floor for plain white, light grey, or a transparent PNG you can drop onto any backdrop.

  • Cropped square

Rotate a crooked shot level and crop it to the square the covershot actually is, so you choose the framing instead of the feed choosing it for you.

  • Brightness and colour

A gentle touch up for photos shot in closet lighting, so the colour a buyer taps on is the colour that arrives at their door.

Your item is never repainted. The background is cut away, not regenerated, so nothing about the garment is invented. On secondhand fashion the exact fabric, fade and wear are what is being sold, and they leave exactly as photographed.

Poshmark listing AI questions, answered

What sellers ask before they start: how the category and size get chosen, where the hashtags go, and what a listing costs to generate.

No. Poshmark publishes no listing API, so any tool that posts for you is automating your account. Holgo stays out of your account entirely: you generate the listing here, then paste it into the Poshmark app or site yourself. Your closet and your login stay yours.

A tool that reads photos of your item and writes the listing for you: title, description, category, size, colors, tags and a price. Holgo's Poshmark listing AI writes the Poshmark shaped version of all of that, so what comes back drops into the listing form rather than needing to be reworked first.

From Poshmark's own lists. The item is matched to a department and category from the real tree, and the size to that category's own chart, alpha for tops, numeric for jeans, the US scale for shoes. What you paste is something the form's dropdowns actually offer.

The toggle is set only when your photos show the tags or the sealed packaging. Anything else is listed honestly: wear is read from your close ups and described flaw by flaw, which is what keeps a buyer from opening a case about it later.

Into the end of the description, because that is the only place Poshmark reads them. There is no hashtag field on the form, so they are baked into the text for you. Style tags are different: they have their own field, and all 3 of those slots are filled separately.

Every field, always. Title, description, category, size, colors, tags and the price are yours to change before you paste anything. It is a first draft written in seconds, not a decision made on your behalf.

It is kept inside the 80 character limit the listing form enforces, and the budget is spent deliberately: brand and item name first, then the size, colour and style words buyers actually type into search.

That is most of what sells on Poshmark, and most of what this was built for. Measurements are read from your flat lay photos where they are visible, fabric from the care label, and flaws from the close ups, which are the three things a buyer asks about first.

You generate once per destination, because destinations genuinely differ: Poshmark wants a size and style tags where eBay wants item specifics, and each has its own title length. Holgo writes each in its own format instead of pasting one block everywhere and hoping.

You start with free credits and no card. Generating a listing spends credits, and you can top up or subscribe once they run out. Nothing ever touches your Poshmark closet either way, so the whole thing can be tried before you decide.
